About Our Church:
BOLD Church® was founded in 2000 when Pastors Keith and Carolyn Spellman opened Blood of the Lamb Christian Books and Gifts. They began to host a weekly Bible Study and prayer sessions in the bookstore. In February of 2001, BOLD Church® had its first service at the Hilton Executive Park on Tyvola Drive in Charlotte, NC.
The bookstore closed but BOLD Church® prospered. The members were enthusiastic about their faith in God and received the Word of God with open hearts. They were growing spiritually at an incredible rate, even if not numerically. Since that time, God has been faithful to add to the church people who are committed to walking out their Christian faith in sincerity and in truth. Their love for God and honor for His son, Jesus Christ, has been contagious.
After worshipping at the Hilton for one year, BOLD Church® rented space at the former Steeleberry United Methodist Church. In 2003, BOLD leased space on Westinghouse Blvd in Charlotte. The new campus for BOLD Church® was completed at 2735 West Arrowood Road, Charlotte, and on December 21, 2019, the first service was held.
Through the years, God has been faithful to BOLD Church® and the same enthusiasm and commitment to growing in Christ among our members has become the defining characteristic of the church. By the grace of God, it is evident that the power of God to transform lives rests in BOLD Church® and in the people of God who serve at BOLD.
